KUSMS is a medical institution supported by the collaborative approach of Kathmandu University and Dhulikhel Hospital. The MBBS program was started in the year 2001. This institution is a nonprofit making college aiming towards a healthy nation of Nepal. It has the goal of making responsible citizens who can serve countrymen and make their lives healthy. They strive to better the medical conditions of the nation. This is an affiliating body and offers affiliation to many colleges in Nepal.

KUSMS is located in picturesque setting amidst mountains and greeneries. The campus is spread over large area. Basically there are two different locations for operations of this medical school. One is at hilltop region in Chaukot in Panauti area and another building in Dhulikhel area about 3 kilometers away. The main idea is to bring high class medical education and skills in the society and train students with great care. The medical conditions of Nepal need improvement and this college works hard to produce good doctors and nurses of medical expertise.
